Jo Tuck is a landscape and figurative painter who combines plein air sketching with studio work that distills reality into vibrant coloured shapes and flat planes. The technique nestles up against naturalism but makes liberal use of evocative rendering, archetypal compositions and invented meteorological circumstances to create something both subversive and surpasses mere realism.Jo Tuck was born in a small town in Australia and after studying at Sydney University went to London to study fine art at the Croydon College of Art and worked as a film editor for the BBC and in feature films while continuing to paint and finally now before taking up painting full time .Paul and I have been travelling these last 10 years to Mexico, Paris,Spain, Australia, London and New York where we have studios in London and New York .
Jo Tuck Paintings are collected in England, America, Canada and Australia where there is a permanent collection in Airlie beach and 5 % of sales go to Himalayan health and Hearingand the Wildlife fund.
